Project Pakistan
Three years ago we made a
commitment that for every dollar we raised toward construction of
our new church building we would give 10% of that dollar to help
build schools and churches in Pakistan. To date we have given
around $50,000 to our Pakistani Church. Pakistan has been in
the world news more than ever in recent days and many people in
their country are suffering greatly. For our Christian
brothers and sisters the situation is oftentimes even worse.
As a person commits to following Jesus he is met with social
resistance and the family's children become ostracized in the public
schools or are removed from education all together. In this culture
a lack of education destines a person for poverty and greatly
reduces the personal power and freedom he can enjoy. Therefore, we
are working hard to not only give our Christian brothers and sisters
safe places to worship, but great places to educate their children as
well. The big project that our contacts in Pakistan
are currently engaged in is the creation of a new campus in a rural
country region of Pakistan for our main school. This campus is located far enough from the big cities to provide a
safe environment and a safe place of education for our boys and girls.
The hope is that the new school will house over 100 boys and 100
girls along with separate housing for staff.
The link below will open up a 360 degree panoramic view of the new
School under construction. They hope to have the school
operational by the fall of 2009. The link will take you to a
page that requests you to download a 3D java script from Microsoft.
The script is safe, virus free and will allow you to view the
panorama in your web browser. To preserve the quality of the
panorama the picture resolution was left high, so it may take a few
minutes to download the entire panorama in its full resolution.
We hope you enjoy this first person view of our newest work in
Pakistan!
